Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone, gave his two cents after the news of Lopetegui’s sacking from Real Madrid became public.Following up on Julen Lopetegui getting fired from Real Madrid this Monday, there are many football figures who gave their opinion on the matter but none was as poignant as Diego Simeone’s.The Atletico Madrid manager offered a press conference this Monday ahead of the Colchoneros’ Copa del Rey match against Sant Andreu on Tuesday, the Argentine manager didn’t want to talk about it at first, but the constant questioning eventually made him break protocol and did leave a headline worth mentioning.“All we think right now is about ourselves, whatever happens around us is not very good for us to talk about, that’s the way we understand it,” said Simeone quoted by La Sexta.“What is important right now for us is only to improve, we need to keep the same line we are having right now despite our defeat against Borussia which was very painful.”“The squad played very well during the first half and the second against Real Sociedad, which was the most difficult squad we could face as visitors right now,” he added.Fati and Suarez shine against Valencia at Camp Nou Tomás Pavel Ibarra Meda – September 15, 2019 With a mesmerizing first half from Ansu Fati and a brace from Luis Suarez in the second half, Barcelona demolished Valencia at Camp Nou.Valencia…“That is life, it gives your responsibilities and it always demands the best from you, depending on where you are,” said ‘Cholo’ about Lopetegui’s situation.“Sometimes you get more demanded from life or sometimes less, and this is a game that puts together many situations in which the people around us cannot take for granted, that’s obvious.”#Atleti 🔴⚪ | Simeone: “¿Lopetegui? And to get The Interwebs all stoked about its big unveiling, Cadillac tweeted the teaser image you see here on Friday, showing the XT6’s front end.As you can see, the XT6 looks… like a Cadillac. That is to say, it has slim headlights, complemented by long, vertical LED running lights. The upper grille looks to be pretty large, with smaller openings around the running lights, as well as along the lower fascia. We don’t have any official XT6 details just yet, but we know it’ll be a three-row crossover, likely with either turbocharged I4 or V6 power. The XT6 will slot between the five-passenger XT5 and full-size Escalade in Cadillac’s SUV lineup, and it’ll battle the Acura MDX, Infiniti QX60 and Lexus RX, not to mention the forthcoming Lincoln Aviator.Stay tuned for the XT6’s official reveal this weekend. This midsize crossover comes to the fray with great driving dynamics and plenty of tech like the standard Honda Sensing suite of active safety features. An available 8-inch touchscreen gets Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as a Wi-Fi hotspot.Under the hood is the stalwart 3.5-liter V6 producing 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. The Cabin Watch video system lets parents keep an eye on their little darlings without turning around in their seats, while Cabin Talk amplifies their voice so no yelling is required. The Odyssey is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 rated for 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. Like its MDX counterpart, the RDX is available with the A-Spec styling package. The RDX sports a 2.0-liter, turbocharged, four-cylinder engine. Output is stated at 273 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, and it’s mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Shown here in the tough ZR2 Bison off-road spec, the Chevy Colorado is an excellent truck and one of the two midsize pickups you can get with a diesel engine. Adding to the ZR2’s two-inch lift and front and rear locking differentials, the Bison gets beefier skid plates (trust me, that’s a good thing), steel bumpers and integrated recovery points. Heck, you can even get a snorkel.Base models get a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a six-speed manual transmission, but a more popular choice is the 3.6-liter V6 gas engine with 308 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Meanwhile, the 2.8-liter diesel pumps out 186 horsepower and a delicious 369 pound-feet of twist and is mated to a six-speed automatic. The Chevy Colorado is built in Wentzville, Missouri. Chevrolet CorvetteMoving up from the 10th-place slot last year is the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette. While we’ve all been ogling the new mid-engine Corvette, it’s easy to forget what a performance bargain the current-generation ‘Vette is. From the base trim to the Grand Sport to the bonkers ZR1, the Corvette is an American icon.My preference is for the Grand Sport, which strikes a perfect balance between everyday drivability and canyon-carving performance. The 6.2-liter V8 puts out 460 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. You can get it with a seven-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission, but the kicker is the borrowed chassis and aero parts from the beefier Z06. Like I said, perfect balance. The Corvette is made in Bowling Green, Kentucky. 69 Photos Car Industry Tags Feb 4 • 2020 Kia Telluride: Detroit Auto Show debut turns Super Bowl ad star Comments 18 Photos Comments See All Jan 22 • Our highlights of the 2019 Detroit Auto Show 2020 BMW M340i review: A dash of M makes everything better Crossovers Luxury cars SUVs 2019 Honda Pilot Elite: A smoother, tech-rich crossover SUV Jeep CherokeeKeeping its top-of-the-list placement, the Jeep Cherokee is 2019’s most American-made car. Jeep With high trade tensions looming and increasing talk of tariffs, more and more consumers are looking to buy American. Cars.com has released its annual American Made Index, showcasing companies that use the most American-sourced parts and labor in their vehicles. The results may surprise you.Cars.com analyzed more than 100 US-built vehicles for five key data points: manufacturing location, parts sourcing, US employment, engine sourcing and transmission sourcing. You might think something like the Ford F-150 would top the list, but it drops from its No. 5 spot for 2018 and out of the top 10 completely. Even the first-place holder, the Jeep Cherokee, is a pretty global product. It’s a Jeep, sure, but that brand is part of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, an Italian-owned business.Cars.com surveyed 1,000 people and found that half are concerned about automotive import tariffs, with 41% saying they are unsure if tariffs would make them more likely to buy American. Either way, we’re big fans of all the vehicles on this list. These days, buying American doesn’t necessarily mean sticking with a US-based automaker.

China to shut North Korean firms or joint ventures in China, as well as any overseas joint ventures with North Koreans.Photo: ReutersChina said Thursday North Korean companies operating in the country will have to shut down by January as Beijing applies UN sanctions imposed following Pyongyang’s sixth nuclear test. The commerce ministry said the companies, including joint ventures with Chinese firms, have 120 days to close from the date the United Nations resolution was adopted, 11 September. The sanctions spare, on a case by case basis, entities involved in non-commercial activities or public utility infrastructure projects that do not generate profits. The announcement comes days after China confirmed that it will apply another major part of the sanctions: a limit on exports of refined petroleum products to North Korea starting 1 October and a ban on textiles from its neighbour. In August, China banned North Korean firms and individuals from establishing new companies in its territory following a separate set of sanctions.China’s application of UN sanctions is particularly biting for North Korea. Beijing is Pyongyang’s main ally and trading partner, responsible for around 90 per cent of the hermit nation’s commerce. The United States has pressed China to use its economic leverage to strongarm North Korea into giving up its nuclear ambitions.US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will visit Beijing this weekend for talks with China’s top diplomat, Yang Jiechi, and Foreign Minister Wang Yi.Tillerson will discuss the North Korean nuclear tensions, trade issues and President Donald Trump’s planned trip to China in November, the US State Department said.Trump’s tour will also take in regional allies Japan and South Korea.‘Abyss of misery’Washington has alternated between criticising and praising Beijing’s role in the North Korea crisis, on the one hand welcoming its support for new sanctions but also insisting it must do more to rein in its unruly neighbour. For its part, China has called on both Trump and North Korean strongman Kim Jong-Un to tone down their increasingly bellicose rhetoric and instead try to begin peace talks.“We are opposed to any war on the Korean peninsula, and the international community will never allow a war (which would) plunge people into an abyss of misery,” foreign ministry spokesman Lu Kang told a regular press briefing.“Sanctions and the promoting of talks are both the requirements of the UN Security Council. We should not overemphasise one aspect while ignoring the other,” Lu said. While China has imposed sanctions on its renegade neighbour, it wants to avoid precipitating the regime’s downfall over fears that its collapse could send an influx of refugees across its border and place the US army at its doorstep. But Beijing appears to be running out of patience with North Korea’s nuclear antics-the last test earlier this month triggered an earthquake that was felt in northeast China.Branches of China’s biggest banks have told AFP that they have suspended financial transactions for North Koreans, a measure that is not required under UN sanctions.
