We cannot compete with the speed of digital media, but there are specialized editions with professional content and top photos that always have an audience. We now have four franchises: in Croatia, France, Slovenia and Serbia, and 90 copies of the magazine sold”, Points out Jadranka Apostolov.  When we talk about the franchise sector, in the tourism sector we have great franchises that are gradually expanding globally to all parts of the world. The Museum of Illusions, Carwiz, Direct Booker, Place2Go, Surf’n’Fries, etc.… and soon some domestic famous players are expected to step through the franchise model into the global franchise business market. “In the Franchise Business Association of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, our task is to gather franchisors from different parts of the economy and their continuous education and create positive conditions for business. We also want to work on promoting franchises and their better position in Croatia, but also on their better placement in the world. There are about 200 franchises in Croatia at 1000 locations and they employ about 13 people, but only 12 percent are domestic franchises. That share needs to be increased”, Said the assistant director of the Trade Department of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce Emma Culi on the occasion of the presentation of Croatian franchises from the Franchise Business Association of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce  CARWIZ BECAME A CROATIAN TOURIST EXPORT PRODUCT! CJEU rules against GBGA’s Gibraltar separate gambling tax status

Furthermore, the introduction of POC duties had resulted in Gibraltar licensed betting enterprises being ‘double taxed’, which infringed on EU ‘freedom of services’ laws.On Tuesday the CJEU rejected GBGA’s motion, stating that as a British overseas territory Gibraltar had gained its access to EU community business laws through its attachment with the United Kingdom.“It follows that the provision of services by operators established in Gibraltar to persons established in the United Kingdom constitutes, under EU law, a situation confined in all respects within a single Member State,” the CJEU statement read. The treatment of Gibraltar and the UK as a ‘single Member State’ will add further concerns for industry stakeholders regarding the viability of Gibraltar as an industry jurisdiction post-Brexit.A number of Gibraltar operators are currently revaluing their operational strategies should Gibraltar be likely impacted by ongoing Brexit negotiations.Publishing its 2016 annual report last April, FTSE listed 888  Holdings detailed that Gibraltar’s current licensing remit remained ‘unclear’ with regards to servicing European gaming jurisdictions. 888 governance stated that it was reviewing its Gibraltar operations and whether they can service the firm’s strategic goals of increasing its European market footprint.
