The Cup will give place in Europe if there is no final or LaLiga ends

first_imgReal Sociedad, being at this time in fourth position, would enter the Champions League, while Athletic, in its capacity as a Cup finalist, would gain a place in the Europa League along with the other two teams that would now hold that right, Getafe and Atlético de Madrid. But in any case, the Federation insists that “that would only be in the undesired case that the Championship could not be restarted, because with one or two days being played the classification could change.”In the RFEF they also remember that the idea is “to play the Cup final and restart LaLiga.” “Only in the event that they cannot finish the competitions would the top four go to the Champions League, the fifth and sixth to the Europa League and the seventh will be the one with a positive right, in this case being qualified for the final Cup. The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) “trusts that the League Championship can be resumed”, but in the event that this is not the case has a classification criteria prepared for Europe. According to the body chaired by Luis Rubiales, “in the event that UEFA requires the Royal Spanish Football Federation to specify the clubs classified to participate in European competitions, without having been able to finish the national championships that give access to the same, The criteria of best sports condition will be taken into account at the time when it must be decided and in any case, giving priority to the sports results of the First Division for the places awarded in said competition and that of the finalists of the Copa de S.M. the king for the place that is awarded in said competition “.As Isaac Fouto announced at COPE, the Federation would dominate the Cup finalists with a European place, but the RFEF pointed out that it would be only in the event that LaLiga could not be restarted, even if it were one or two days, or dispute the Cup final, something that in the RFEF they still consider “improbable” because they prefer to be “optimistic”.last_img read more

HOW CARRIGART COMMUNITY SPIRIT MADE THIS ST PATRICK’S WEEKEND SPECIAL

first_imgThe Moving Mevagh Forward organised Carrigart St. Patrick’s Day Parade turned out to be a great success with huge crowds and a significant increase in the number and quality of floats. An added bonus was the fact that the rain stayed away during the parade, indeed the sun shone for most of it.A wide range of establishments, businesses, sporting clubs, rally cars, haulage contractors, transport companies, youth groups, novelty acts and voluntary organisations, among others, put on a wonderful spectacle for the 75 minutes of the parade. The Devlinreagh School Band led the parade into town and, as usual, entertained the crowd before the parade passed through. The last act in the parade was the award winning Fanad Accordian Band, who made the short journey across the Harry Blaney bridge, to show off their considerable talents. While the amount of effort and degree of originality shown by the participants in preparing their floats was considerable, and was wonderful for the spectators, it left the work of the judges in determining the most original float very difficult. After much deliberation the judges selected The Mevagh Voluntary Fire Service as the winners. The theme was “No Horse Meat Here” despite the fact that they had a horse carcass on their float and a horse following the float.DJ John Bosco kept the crowd informed of the various floats as they passed by the grandstand kindly supplied by Willie Doherty, Cranford. Cllr. Noel McBride thanked all those who helped in anyway to make the Carrigart St. Patrick’s Day parade such a success and he congratulated the town’s newest business, Galanta Gifts, who kindly donated sweets for all the children. The organisers would like to thank Maggie Doherty, Carrigart Hotel and Belinda McGroddy, Moving Mevagh Forward for all their hard work in the preparation for the successful day.     HOW CARRIGART COMMUNITY SPIRIT MADE THIS ST PATRICK’S WEEKEND SPECIAL was last modified: March 19th, 2013 by BrendaShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)last_img read more
